Hi guys,

I just have bought my new X60s (4-cell) and I wanted to know if anyone has experience on this:

IBM / LENOVO - Lenovo Ultraportable ThinkPad Notebook Case
(http://www.nextdaypc.com/main/products/ ... ID=2169315)

Anyone is using this? Is it good for X60s?

Do you have any other suggestions ?

Thanks,
Miri

I don't have the Lenovo case, but I can recommend the Waterfield bags from www.sfbags.com. Even if you get the Lenovo case, consider the Waterfield sleeve. I have it for my X60s (w/ 8 cell) and it is outstanding. No, I don't work for them <grin>. It even came with a hand-written thank-you note from Gary, who I presume is the owner or something.

Happy hunting!

I second this vote for a Waterfield sleeve. I just got the plain sleeve without all the goodies and just stuff it in my backpack. Its nice and plush and at the same time its not bulky which is why I bought the x60s in the first place.

I like the shinza cases in case I spill something or dust goes everywhere in my backpack, I'm surprised no one is mentioning them. If the waterfield case had the flap included in the roughly 40 dollar price tag then it would be direct competition.

If you have the X60t with the 8 cell battery, I recommand the Powersleeve XM from Booqbags.com. It fits perfectly!

Do you mean "perfectly" as in absolutely no inch-wide gaps at any dimension?

I just received my Powersleeve S90 that is currently on closeout for $39.98 from Booqbags.com for my X60, and it fits absolutely perfect... if only I didn't have an 8-cell battery!!! It fits perfectly, with only about a centimeter of space at both width ends of the laptop if I have the 8-cell detached, but I am not able to close the bag's lid if I keep the battery on. The specifications for the bag states that the interior depth is 9.75", and my X60 with 8-cell is 9.5" so I thought it'd fit. However, I measured the bag's interior high, and it's only a little less than 8.5"! :x

I've been wanting a very small bag that has compartments, and didn't really like the piggyback design of the Waterfield sleeves though I really do want a Waterfield sleeve itself. The Booq Powersleeve S90 came VERY close and I like it's style. 1" makes a big difference.

Agree. The sf bags have been the #1 choice of ThinkPad owners for years. I'm currently on my third one/third ThinkPad.
