X60s and Parallel port and docking station

#1 Post by aramosjr » Wed Feb 28, 2007 8:41 am

Just purchased a new X60s and i went to install a Parallel port printer and when I try to undock the laptop from the ultra base, I receive an error...cannot undock because Parallel port is in use (LPT1). Does anyone know a way around this issue?

Thank You,

Hi...
Just a thought....
Some printers have an agent that will monitor the LPT port. HP comes to mind. Have you installed any printers? If so, most consumer drivers have these type of services running that are monitoring the printer to check on consumables etc. etc...
