Looking to buy a new X60

#1 Post by iMav » Sat Mar 03, 2007 2:42 am

This MAY belong in the marketplace forum (my apologies in advance).

I am looking to purchase a new x60 and am wondering where is the best place to purchase one from (price-wise)? I don't qualify for any educational discounts, so this is strictly joe consumer talking. :)

I would prefer having the fingerprint reader...I will be running linux on this system exclusively (not that that has anything to do with where to buy one).

If you are in Iraq then the closest place to you would be Dubai. I am not sure abut how safe shipping is to Iraq...

If you want to order directly from Lenovo.com, make sure you do it through usa.visa.com/personal to get 5 - 20% off.

Two other popular options are costcentral.com and euclidcomputers.com. They usually ship much faster than Lenovo.com.
Microsoft Surface 3 (Atom x7-Z8700 / 4GB / 128GB / LTE)
Dell OptiPlex 9010 SFF (Core i3-3220 / 8GB / 8TB); HP 8300 Elite minitower (Core i7-3770 / 16GB / 9.25TB)
Acer T272HUL; Crossover 404K; Dell 3008WFP, U2715H, U2711, P2416D; Monoprice 10734; QNIX QHD2410R; Seiki Pro SM40UNP

you may qualify for some special sites for members of the armed services. It can't hurt to ask superiors if such options exist for you.
