Corrupted display with Productivity Centre

I have this problem with the ThinkVantage Productivity Centre.
Whenever I press the blue button and the black menu/window pops up in Windows XP, after 5 seconds the black menu goes corrupted and the menu items are garbled up.
Is anybody having the same problem on the X60?
I tried upgrading to Productivity Centre v2.01.1, and the problem still persists.
Thanks in advance for all help.

Just to illustrate what I'm saying, here is a screenie of the menu when I first press the blue button:
And here's what happens 5 seconds later, without me doing anything:
Anybody experiencing the same problems?

Maybe you need to update Java?

I don't experienced anything wrong with my X60 other than that irritating DVD burner keep rattling so loud when i am burning DVDs.
~~You can try to uninstall that program and reinstall the program again to see if problem goes away. ~~

Hi guys, I have J2RE 1.6.0 installed, and I did try to uninstall Productivity Center and re-install it, but it didn't work.
Or should I try to roll-back to the J2RE 1.5?

Just to update, I have tried uninstalling Productivity Center and J2RE 1.6.
I then reinstalled back J2RE 1.5 and Productivity Center v2.01.1.
Still no go. Any other takers? Thanks in advance for your help.

I think rolling back to an older version would be a possibility, but I can't find the link to the older versions.

I don't know exactly what is causing your problem, but here is what I would try if I was in your circumstances.
1) Windows System Restore or
2) Uninstall current version and run a registry cleaner program, then reinstall the current version or
3) Uninstall current version and run a registry cleaner program, then reinstall the original version from your hard drive. On my T42, all the original installation programs are located in subdirectories of C:\IBMTOOLS\. You probably have a similar directory on your hard drive.

One thing to note is that the garbled display comes up right after 5 seconds have password. Not more, not less. 5 seconds.
Strange thing.

This is just a shot in the dark, guys, but maybe it's a display driver issue. Are you all using the same graphics adapter? For a test, try turning the Video Acceleration down or off. For an ATI adapter, right-click on the desktop, choose Properties > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot > move slider to the left.

Oh man, you are the saviour! I tried turning acceleration off and the problem was solved.
So it's a display driver issue...
gjg: Could you confirm this as well?

But this shouldn't be the case.
I suppose we have to wait for a new version of PDCTR to come out, or a new version of drivers.
I wonder if the BIOS 2.07 might fix this.

From Lenovo's site:
Version 7BETC6WW (2.07)
* (Fix) "SATA Controller Mode Option" is changed to "Compatibility" when the system boots up without the primary Hard Drive. "SATA Controller Mode Option" is displayed in the BIOS Setup Utility. "Config"->"Serial ATA(SATA)"->"SATA Controller Mode Option" (BIOS)
* (Fix) The SMBIOS structure which represents Modem jack(RJ-11) is not displayed. (BIOS)
i know nothing about this kind of stuff but from what I read I don't think 2.07 will fix it.

I very clearly remember that the problem didn't exist when I first got it.
It should be the newer drivers that resulted in this issue. I suppose this thread can be closed, until the next graphics driver release.

I have the same problem on 2 T60s and it appeared just a day ago after I ran system update and installed the new version of the Productivity Center on each.
Also, the first few times the button is pressed (or via shortcut), the menu flashes on briefly and disappears.

This problem still exists, even with drivers and software updated to new versions at this time of posting.
