Worth of 4-cell battery for X60?

#1 Post by Turbo Audi » Sat Mar 10, 2007 12:15 am

I have a slim-line X60s 4 cell with maybe 14 cycles on it. Any guess to its worth? I'd like to sell it.

Number of battery recharge cycles. I read somewhere that charging 80% of the battery capacity counts as 1 cycle. In other words, plugging and unplugging the power cord 10 times don't count as 10 cycles.

Zero cycle means the battery is brand new.

The cycle count is incremental; it counts up each time you cycle the battery through a discharge and recharge of significance.

Batteries are more or less good for several hundred discharge-recharge cycles, so your battery still has a good life ahead of it.

32 cycles in just 1 month is a bit too much. It's not going to die soon, but I recommend trying to run the laptop on AC power as much as possible, which is the single best way to maximize the life of a battery.
