Targus Port Replicator conflicting with x60t and vista

Just got my tablet x60 and decided to get rid of the IBM loaded xp (too slow and buggy). Successfully installed Vista Business, works seamlessly with everything that includes a sony ericsson phone, 2 printers, external DVDRW, Fax Machine and a scanner.
The only thing thats not working is the Targus/Lenovo port replicator with Video. THe original software that came with it wouldnt install on VIsta, so I downloaded the updated version from Targus. What it does is that it conflicts with the tablets screen functions meaning that the tablet input is disabled.
So i uninstalled the targus software and the tablet functionality came back.
I plugged in the port replicator to see if vista would install its own software for it and voila, it did. Everything works fine including 4 USB ports, the LAN and the serial port.
The only port thats not working is VGA.
Anyone's got any idea how to fix this problem?
Thanks for reading.
