Forward compatible of XP software?

I am still waiting for my Vista upgrade disc. Are most programs working with XP compatible? Is there a database of any sort?

Please advise

If you look through the Vista drivers for you model on the lenovo site you'll see there are some right now, hope they get on stick with the rest.
