Do u guys have any advice to which brand of lcd protector i can buy. My new lcd protector is so reflective that i can even see my face in it clearly

i think most of the LCD protector sheet will make the screen become glossy. Unless there is something out there that isn't reflective, no sure whether can get it in SG or Aust...

You mean that no one has a non glossy lcd protector in this whole world?? how about the 3m privacy filter i am sure it can function as a protector too.

try shop at Funan & Sim Lim area. then inform me about that.
i think it should be quite hard to get one well fit 12' 3M privacy filter for X60/s

As far as I know, none exist Contact nushield and ask them if they make a custom one for you - thier customer service is excellent.

Most of these protectors are now made in China/Taiwan. The truely Japanese made one are expensive.

Do you have the web URL with Japanese? I can probably translate the part you need.

I have a 17" 3M privacy filter in a box in my office (model PF17.0). I just opened it up and took a look for you. The back side of the filter is very glossy, but the front is matte, perhaps just a tad more glossy than an original X31 or X60 screen. It looks like it would be easy enough to chop it to size for the X60 screen if you have one of the guillotine paper cutters.

The 3M filter is a much more rigid than typical clingy screen protectors--it does not stick to your screen by itself. 3M provides two attachment methods, both of which involve sticking clear plastic "tabs" (think thick stickers) to your display to hold the filter on.

Alright thanks for everyone's post if possible i will think of someway to invent a non glossy protector now that i know none exist so I can make money lol

No reflection, and no complaints...
Im on my second one out of the 3 pack after a year and a half...
Fits perfectly.

3M makes them in laptop sizes as well, including 12.1", perfect for the X series.

Good to hear! Here's my report of using my 17" one on my x60:

I just tried cutting down my 17" 3M privacy filter and leaving it a tad bit wider (1/8 of an inch) than the viewable screen area and trying to tuck the extra width in-between the LCD and the plastic frame that is around the LCD. That would save having to use their clear sticker attachment system, plus hold the protector tightly against the screen (unlike the clear sticker system).

It worked, but I don't recommend it to anyone unless they want to spend a little time playing with getting the size "just so" and being careful to insert it without damaging your screen. The result is quite nice. Since this screen protector is so thick, the screen seems very well protected indeed, but the filter does cut down the brightness some.

How hard is it to remove? The nice thing about the plastic tabs is that it takes only seconds to remove for those times when you want to have a bunch of people looking at your ThinkPad LCD.

Just seconds. It is easy to remove since I only have it under the plastic frame on the left and right side (not top and bottom). So just put a fingernail under the top or bottom and pull to pop it out.

Putting it back in takes time, though. I've done it a few times and have gotten more practiced at it, but it still takes me about a minute.

alternative way of removing it is by using a tape paste it on top of the protectr sheet, and tear it along,
came out nicely

Has anyone tried out this screen protector ? is 12.1 inch on a macbook the same as the x60?

I've got the bstrong and I'm looking for a different one. The bstrong isn't glossy, but it is a sort of satin finish. I agree that it is satisfactory, but it is still a bit too shiny for me. In my company's bright conference room, I could hardly see my screen with the bstrong and 50% brightness. I pulled up a corner and the screen was more visible without the protector.

Even though it says it won't fit the tablet, it fits my x61t with sxga+ perfectly. Your milage may vary. It looks as if they now have an x61 specific model, they didn't when I ordered a couple weeks ago.

Instead, I think the bare screen was more "shiny" and produces more glare. And it's more readable in a brightly-lit room.

The BSTRONG, OTOH, is less "shiny" and produces a more "muddy" effect (sorry, can't think of a better term).

For me, there's no problem using mine in the office. As long as the screen is right in front.

BTW, is BSTRONG still shipping 2-pc. pack for ONE package...?

If you are asking if I got two protectors for the price of one, the answer is, no.

I forgot to add that my bstrong protector is the stick-on type with the glue around the edges. I'm really not happy with the glue. In one of the corners there is a cardboard "hair" or thread. At first I thought maybe I picked it up from a contaminated work surface during the install, but then I got out my micro-fine tweasers and pulled on it. It is actually UNDER the glue, between the protector and the glue. So, it was contaminated in the factory. I was able to remove most of it, except the part under the glue. There are numerous other contaminates in the glue that make it less-than-transparent in places.

I won't be buying from Strong Engineering again. I know others have had a better experience.

However my advice, if you have a tablet and your intent is to use it as a tablet, even if only rarely then get a protector. There is nothing worse than having a big scratch in the middle of an otherwise beautiful screen.

Sorry, my bad... Because I ordered 2 pcs. last time (2-year ago), and so thought it's a 2-pc. pack.

However, it was much cheaper then - Just $8.35 each.

Now they're asking for $15.35 each.

Besides, the design and application method of BSTRONG is what I liked it for. Simple to apply, no need to "fight" with every single bubble.

You have to live with its shortcomings as well, though.
