acs.exe has stopped working

#1 Post by dochobbs » Fri Mar 23, 2007 8:32 pm

This is driving me crazy. Do I need this program? The Atheros Configuration Service. It 'stops working' every time after my computer sleeps for the first time. I cannot find which program installed it, I can't find if I can remove it safely or not, and I honestly don't know what it does. thoughts?

It goes the wireless card, so I wouldn't disable it. Oddly enough, for the first time ever, Access Connections and that service went for a loop on my XP T41 today when I came back from suspend. I suspend all the time. I don't know why, but two cold starts later, all seems well. I see the posts about this but today was the first time for me. I shall keep watch. ... JDH
