Thanks. I burned that image but all it does is boot to DR Dos prompt.
The istructions say:
QUOTE<---- 1. Turn off the system.
2. Make sure the CD-ROM/DVD drive which is supported as a startup device for your ThinkPad is attached to the system.
3. Turn on the system.
4. While either of the following messages is displayed at the lower left area of the screen, press the F12 key to display the boot menu:
* To interrupt normal startup, press the blue Access IBM button or the enter key.
Press F12 to choose temporary boot device
* Press F1 for BIOS Setup Utility
Press F11 to invoke the Product Recovery program
Press F12 to choose temporary boot device
Note: If a password prompt appears, type in the correct password.
5. Insert the PC-Doctor DOS CD into the CD-ROM/DVD drive.
6. Press the cursor keys to select either of the following devices, and press the Enter to start PC Doctor for DOS:
* ATAPI CDx (x: 0, 1, ...)
* CD-ROM Drive
7. Follow the instructions on the screen.
8. After performing the diagnostics, remove the CD from the CD-ROM/DVD drive and turn off the system.--->END QUOTE
I get to step 6, choose the CD rom, the system boots, I see a whole lot of stuff scroll by about the various devices being initialised etc. and then it just stops a the A:\> dos prompt.
Step 7 never appears. I tried burning a new ISO just in case the first was corrupted but still the same thing.
Getting very frustrated now
I would appreciate any input.
