my x60 should be coming in a few days. I am wondering if I would run 1680x1050 resolution on my x60?
right now, I can run it perfectly with my x31 (omega driver).
edit: dang...my laptop is delivering TODAY!!!

It sure can, I'm running my X60s right now with a 1680x1050 resolution external monitor. I didn't have to install anything special, just the standard video drivers for the integrated graphics.
The analogue signal quality is excellent, as well -- on both the laptop's own VGA port, and the one on the Ultrabase.

thank for the input. I went through alot to get 1680x1050 with my x31, so I just want to make sure it will with with x60. my 22" lcd is less than 1 month old. I would be [censored] if I can't get it to work with my new x60.
I gave up hope on dvi long time ago when I got the dock II for my x31 and found out it wouldn't work. on the other hand, VGA just work out fine for me, so I got used to living with it.

No problem at all. It can run even 1920x1200 via VGA.

I know it struggles to run 2 displays (with the matrox dual head)
how about running just one big one?....what screen size is 1920x1200 anyway?

Perfectly acceptable to me, but some people are really picky and find a huge difference between VGA versus DVI.
