I was wondering if anyone remove the Windows and Intel logos from the palm rest of the laptop. I find them quite irriating.

When they are new, no. When I can feel them (edges starting to lift), Yes. Accordingly, mine are long gone from my T41. The advantage of lifting them early is that the gummy mess is much, much reduced and is removed by touching the sticky logo to it repeatedly. ... JDH

Removing them was the first thing to do after opening the lid and testing the system for the very first time.
I don't understand the purpose of the stickers anyway.

These stickers are like those stickers that you see when buying oranges or apples. A few years back someone was interviewing a big honcho at Dole (or some other fruit company), and his response to this was: Wouldn't you like people to know the brand of your product when they buy that product? Maybe Lenovo has a deal where they need to put these stickers in their laptops, or maybe it is just a sign of prestige. Personally, I think any Thinkpad looks way better (by about 0.1%

) without the stickers.

It faded away a couple of months later with constant rubbing.
Now my winxp sticker is just a silver mirror. Looks pretty cool. :p

I never run windows...so those stickers are gone right away (don't want to perpetuate false advertising).
