both plugged in. it is obvious x60s is on the left

with light on

unplugged comparison

x60 weight with 8 cell battery

x60s weight with 8 cell battery

the 8 cell battery pulled from the x60s on x60.
conclusion:
x60s with ultralight is a LOT brighter
the weight difference is .3lb
x61s battery can fit on x60, but not the other way around

If I'am not mistaken it goes the opposite way:
The 4cells slip battery if from X60s and will only fit X60S
The 4cells cylindric battery from X60 does also fit the X60s if needed.
The 8 cells battery does fit both.

No problem
The Slim a battery has a tad smaller capacity but fits better with X60s.
So buying an s I would take the slim + the 8cells.

Is it possible to buy a X60s UL screen and fix it onto a X60?

No of much use IMO because the screen lid of the UL screen is a lot slimmer then the normal X60 screen so the screen would float into the X60 lid.

Personnaly I'd find a lot more appealing a screen with a higher resolution. if it is an uultralight: cool but more resolution is more important for me.

when will they come out with a screen with a higher resolution?
why are they taking so long?
can you just switch the screen yourself with an aftermarket screen?

Only the UL (X60s) has the loose screen, correct?

Apparently one can change the dot pitch from 96 to 120. I've been on the fence between the ultratouch and the sxga+, but ater seeing the gottabemobile.com video reviews I'm going to go for the higher resolution.
