X60 tablet: lack of texture or friction on the screen?

I just got my X60 tablet yesterday, boy was I happy to get it. It works like a charm from what I can see so far, but there is one issue that I have with it. The texturing/friction surface on the screen isn't on all of the screen. The friction surface is only on the very top and left hand side (when in portrait mode). The rest of the screen feels as slick as a baby's bottom when writing on it. :(

Before I decided on what tablet to get, I read a lot of reviews and user opinions, one of the big selling points for me was the textured surface to make it seem like you're writing on paper. Unfortunately, it isnt on all of my screen. I searched high and low yesterday to find if anyone else has had this problem but I haven't found any mention of it.

Have any of you who own the x60 tablet noticed this? Is it just my screen, or is this a common problem?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: if this is a common problem, does anyone have any recommendations for good anti-glare screen protectors that also have friction to them?

i never wrote on the screen itself so i don't know.
i have writeshield on
i still think it's a little slippery but other people seem to love it
maybe it's just grease from my hand.

try to look for felt tips - essentially you getting textured writing surface by not putting something on the screen but by switching the tip of the pen.

for me change of the tip was the thing that gave me more 'paper-like' feeling when writing on the screen and now i am so happy about it

It seems odd that the texture would vary at all across your screen - it should be constant everywhere.
