X60 Tablet - How to add bluetooth module?

Hi,

I bought a 6365-CTO X60 Tablet - forgetting to check the bluetooth option.

I see a post http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... =bluetooth that refers to the X60, but not sure if it is the same for the X60 Tablet?

It looks like I need:
FRU-39T0497 - Bluetooth daughter card

But not sure if I also need:
FRU-93P4371 - Bluetooth cable

Can anyone confirm whether the above one (or two) items are all I need?

Cheers,
Brad

You may want to open the laptop to verify that you can plug that module in on your motherboard.

X60t hardware guide:

Just found out my X60s isn't wwan upgradeable since it only has 1 mpcie slot.

Ok so I got the bluetooth module from another X60 and put it in the original X60 that had no bluetooth... but it does not detect it at all!

Bluetooth is definitely enabled in the BIOS. Any other ideas?

It's been a long time - I'm finally revisiting this. The bluetooth card never worked. I put it back in the X60 Tablet PC that it came from, but now that Tablet does not detect it either. It is enabled in the BIOS, but just does not show up in the Device Manager...

ANY ideas?

did you press Fn + F5? That'll enable the card and then Windows will fire up the New Hardware Wizard. Not sure if that's true for all systems but i got a bluetooth thingy just today from underclocker and when i plugged it in and booted up it found the modem portion of the card but no BT till i hit the FN combo. Even tho the software is not installed that option still enabled and disables the card. I don't see the light in the panel below the LCD but it does come on and the icon shows up in the system tray when i press the buttons. When i press it again the icon disappears and makes the usual eject sound it should.

Tried that - it doesn't show the Bluetooth option - only WiFi...
Thanks for the suggestion!
