as a lot of people, I am interested by the x60t sxga+ screen.

does anybody try to install an x60t screen inside a x60s laptop? I don't have access to spare material like repair shop, so I can't try, but I remeber it was possible to remove t40 screen and install them in t41 laptop.

I check with the hardware manual of both laptop, but was not able to find infos by looking at the drawing. I need to see if the screen are the same or not (the same in shape and holes and stuff).

Does anybody already thought about it and give a look?

I don't know... But I dont think X60t screen fits X60 or X60s. because except the name, X60t are very different from non-tablet.

Aren't the hinges different? X60/s has hinges near the edges and the X60t has a single rotating hinge in the center, which means the connector would also differ since it must be built into that hinge, while it is visible and stationary legt of center on the X60/s.

yes, you are right, but that is why I wanted to give a look a nude screen, in order to see if we can make something... basically, the connexion should be the same, maybe physical differences, but I am pretty sure it is possible to "plug" ans sxga+ screen in a normal x60s. inserting it inside the screen case is another story:)
