Verizon service works with built in wwan antenna?

Hi all,
I currently own a T42P which I've been using for the last 3 yrs and It was time for an upgrade
I choose a ThinkPad X60 1709CTO which I had the privilege to see and test for a couple of minutes and immediately I fell in love.
I have one of this broadband verizon cards and I was wondering if I can get rid of this one and use my account with the one comes built-in.
A friend of mine which owns one, told me it was kinda of set up for cingular and get it to work under verizon its was a pain.
I've been searching for an answer but I couldn't find it

You have the option of a built-in Verizon card or Cingular card. If you select the X60 with the built-in Verizon card, then you can log into your Verizon account, change the ESN from the card you have now to the ESN of the built-in card, and that's all there is to it ...

I ordered by phone last friday and never asked me that question
Dumb question: Should I tell them before it ships or essentially its the same card and you change it by soft?

The cards are different hardware. You can activate only a Verizon card on Verizon, so make certain they ship you the Verizon card if that is what you need.

Update

Called Lenovo, they told me the X series only comes with Verizon Service available built-in card, the only one comes with both is the T series.

True? They changed something down the road?

Basically, they lied.

For instance, Verizon uses EVDO technology, which is not available in Europe (we use HSDPA technology here, which is the technology Cingular uses). They can't possibly ship 3G laptops with EVDO in Europe, and I've seen several X60 with built-in HSDPA (the mini PCIe card is a Sierra Wireless MC8755). This card has a part number, thus it can be ordered in a CTO configuration or later as a part.

Could be... if you check the current tabook, you will only see Verizon models and no Cingular for X60/X60s but you will see both on T60 models.

However, if you check this from the Lenovo site for X60:

It shows 4 parts for WWAN, 2 1xEVDO and 1 UMTS and 1 HSDPA card which is exactly the same for T60:

Just so you know, since the X60 comes with a Verizon card, this MAY/COULD/MIGHT mean that it will not ship with a SIM card slot at the bottom.

This will be a different topic but for now at least you know that Verizon will work with you machine as per your call with Lenovo.

I called them up again and they have both services available on the ThinkPad X60 1709CTO (ThinkPad X60 with Mobile Broadband).
Its basically the same computer but with a faster processor (Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7200 (2.0GHz, 4MB L2, 667MHz FSB)).
