Hi

I have a probleme with the alimentation, sometimes the computer siwtch to the battery or electic sector.

the computer rocks of the battery to the all alone sector, and when the battery is empty it is not reloaded because there remains connected on same batery by connecting it on the electrical connector. When I remove the battery and that I connect it directly on the catch, the screen changes intensity all times. the only solution that I found is to leave it and then it holds load X days then starts again.

Are you saying the battery doesn't recharge?

ok, when the X60S is connecting to the electrical without the battery, the intensity of the screen is changing (same like swtching beetween battery and sector)

In the other side, when the battery is fully charging, and connecting to the sector, sometimes the screen also change the intensity and the computer is switching beetween the battery and sector alone...

le comportement du portable est bizarre, lorsque la batterie est pleine et qu'il soit branché sur le secteur, il switch de la batterie au secteur en changant l'intensité de l'ecran et l'indicateur de changement d'etat dans la barre des taches le fait remarquer.

J'ai fais un test en le laissant branché sans la batterie directement sur le secteur et c'est le meme symtome.

That's the best I could come up with.

If I am not mistaken, there should be a BIOS setting for Display that can be set to Normal or High. When set to Normal, the display dims on battery, even when brightness is set to maximum. When set to High, the display should be close to the same brightness whether on AC or battery when the brightness level is the same (ie. steps 0 - 7). This can also be changed in ThinkPad Configuration. Look in All Programs > ThinkVantage > ThinkPad Configuration.

lol actually it translates more into the word "source" or "supply" (as in food supply/source or power supply/source, etc.)
