I have been using a powered USB hub with T42 for over a year without any problem. The USB hub has a USB keyboard, a USB mouse and a USB sound card attached.
With X60s, however, the USB hub can prevent XP from boot up, or caused keyboard to response extremely slow in DOS. I am fairly sure it's a BIOS issue. Unfortunately, even with the latest BIOS 2.10 the problem still exists.
Has anybody experienced the same issue?
USB hub with X60s
Just a suggestion. I think the bios has a USB option to enable boot from usb device. The info for that option says that, with it enabled, it may interfere with DOS. Perhaps due to a memory conflict, which might account for a slowdown in DOS. Does XP not load or does it load just very slowly?
