what to buy - x60, x60s, x60t, or x61?

X60/X61 series specific matters only.

In that small form factor with so much packed in, you're still gonna have heat. I think it's the physics.
Could be worse... like i can fry eggs on a mac book pro.

thx!

Dunno whether anyone knows whether they'll move the location of the wireless card on the X61. There's always design compromises, for example, if the wireless card was atop the battery instead of below the right palm rest, your palm might be happier but your battery longevity would suffer.

As i said, the X61 will still be warm. Hotter than any larger thinkpad (except for older ones like my Pentium 3 T21, which is hotter than my X60 overall and much hotter underneath than is the X60 palm rest)

You might want to go with X60/s/t if you're concerned about the issues we're hearing about with the T61.... namely, poor battery life. Seems there's major issues with santa rosa and/or vista.
Kinda like how the T43 was a step backward from T42.

I think the issue is the increase in the number of miniPCI (etc) slots. On the X3 series, there is only one, so it can easily be located near the left-hand hinge. But with the extra slots on the new devices you have to make compromises in the location ...

Why? Do you get a big bonus if a lot of X61s are sold?
How about being a bit more constructive buddy.
