Is it Recommended to Download/Install Lenovo Updates for X60

How important is it to download and install the updates lenovo puts out for drivers and firmware? Are there any known issues with doing so?
I see that every few months there are new updates.
Which ones are important, and which ones should be avoided?

If you have no problems with your hardware then there is no need to install updates. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I suggest that you look at the list of fixes and check if there is an issue that affects you. Often, the updates from Lenovo only add support for newer ThinkPad models.

if you are using vista. then you would need all the latest updates provides by Lenovo!!!
