I will soon be buying an x60 Tablet via a grant, and am unsure about the display options. Can anyone give advice/experience on the different displays, particularly in an academic environment?
I will be using the tablet mainly indoors, for both research/note taking and giving classroom lectures.
I am intrigued by the multiview-multitouch screen, but I am concerned that resting the heel of my palm on the screen as I write will cause problems.
Thanks!

x60 tablet display question
I only got mine a few days ago but got the multiview/touch screen and i must say that its viewing ability in both light and dark is pretty decent. I have a t60 to compare it to and although the tablet seems to be visible at more angles it does get darker as you angle it.
The resting of palm on screen was my concern as well - thus i bought the carrying pack or whatever the thing they sell ya to sling it into as it has a plastic cover that "protects" the screen. Well it does its job - its jsut a hassle to deal with as you have to take it out completely to use the keyboard (if you ever need to). I did use it for a day without the protective case and found by the end of the day the screen was all smugged and looked almost scratched but after a wipe down with a lens cleaning cloth no scratches luckly.

In theory, when you use the stylus, with you palm resting on it, the palm/hand input WILL BE IGNORED...
This is some time referred to "palm rejection" in tablet
Heard that the palm rejection capability of Multitouch screen in X60 tablet should be quite good, but you may want to get your hands on a real multitouch X60t first
Here's an "inkshow" for the multitouch t60 tablet (part of it about the palm rejection capability)
