No, I haven't heard any more on this, but I'm ready to place my order as soon as it is able to be ordered. Hope we hear something about it soon.

I imagine they will be out any day. The X60 T I ordered less than a month ago is now $600. less than the normal price. I paid $400. less, now I wish I had waited (and got XP Tablet instead of Vista).

Would you honestly pay $600 more for the X61 T?

I think out any day is optimistic, isn't lenovo/thinkpad generally late adopters? as long as it's released by late july or just shipping by early august I'm fine with it.

If you have ever shopped at lenovo.com/us you will see that they have the retail price*, and your price. I believe that is what he is talking about, so I price out my X60T for 2,400 total, and it says 3,000* at the top. Faux savings basically.

On the lenovo site they keep dropping the price of the X60T. When I ordered mine a few weeks ago I saved $400. off the normal price.
Currently the sale is different, like the X6 base is 179 instead of 100, but still with the exact same config it comes out $200 cheaper than what I paid just a few weeks ago. That's $600. less than the normal price they sell it for. I imagine when the X61T comes out it will be back up to original price, and will likely be a little more in the short term. They are trying to blow out the X60T right now so it isn't competing with the X61T. This is a normal practice.
