Overseas Use: Is Plug Converter Only Thing I Need?

This may be a stupid question, but I'll be traveling to Hong Kong and will be bringing my X60s with me. Is a plug coverter the only thing I need? Or will I need a different powersupply?

I have used thinkpad in Hong Kong. Yes a plug converter is all you need since the ac adapter supports 220V AC.

For AC adapters that say "100-240V" and "50-60Hz", all you need is a plug adapter. I just went to France last week and recharged my PDA and cell phone through a plug adapter without any problem.

Most laptops can convert voltage correctly but i always carry a volt. converter/plug adapter combo. unit that I picked up from radio shack. I use it for devices that I am not sure about such as my digital camera battery charger and cell phone charger. It's a little heavy but worth the added security.

Just purchase a cord that fits into the wall socket and your power box. No need to carry an heavy plug. That is what I do between the US and Europe all the time.

just nick a power cable from another electric device such as (but not restricted to) a portable hifi system, a toaster, or an old radio. I'm doing that at the moment. If it fits physically, you're all good. And yes the charger says 220v on it.
