Started getting an application error for br_funcs.exe

#1 Post by CyberDude » Fri May 18, 2007 2:00 am

Since yesterday when I boot up and log in I get the following error.

br_funcs.exe - "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click OK to terminate the application."

I know it's the Rescue and Recovery software but why would isn't it initializing any more?

I've googled around but haven't found anything that explains it as it seems to be a generic error message.

Can anyone help?

Did you install IE7, or new software?

No, didn't install IE7.

I did do a windows (XP) update but that was a couple of days ago.

Anyway, it seems to have fixed itself as it has not thrown the error message for the last couple of reboots. Don't know why as I didn't make any changes.

Weird. :?
