Does the warranty follow a sale?

Love my X60 and the best laptop I have owned so far. I got the Ultrabase with the unit as it was a pre-packaged educational deal.

I paid extra for the 3 year warranty, which I also recommend and have already used. Great service.

I use the ultrabase about once a month, if that, and am considering selling it. Would the warranty on the ultrabase be allowed to follow with it if I sold it on Ebay, for example?

Hello,

I may be wrong (if that's the case, the forum gurus will correct me ;)), but the warranty is linked to the machine, and not to the owner.

So, your product will still be under warranty, even if you sell it. :)

What happened that required warranty service? Was it depot service?

No, I managed to break the hinge for a key on the keyboard. Called customer service and they shipped a new keyboard to me within the day.

Of course, it was so early in my purchase it would have been covered by the standard warranty, but the accidental coverage it gives is a mind-easer.

follow the date of manufacturing from the machine
