X60t, Vista, and ReadyBoost

#1 Post by fuscob » Sat May 26, 2007 9:57 pm

I just ordered an X60t with Vista and 2GB of RAM. Since the tablet has an SD card slot, I'm wondering if anyone has tried to use Vista's ReadyBoost with an SD card. If not, does anyone think this might improve the speed under Vista? SD cards are very cheap now.

I've read ReadyBoost doesn't help much with 2GB RAM, and the SD slot is really really slow anyways.

Yeah, a slow reader probably wouldn't help much. I'm not sure I'll keep Vista anyways, seeing as 1.5GHz isn't exactly speedy, but we'll see when the machine gets here.
