Steps for clean Vista install

I have had my X60t for a week and I am ready to kill the disc and do a fresh install. Already I have had quite a few glitches: The auto rotate doesn't work all the time, the network doesn't reestablish after sleep/docking frequently, the fingerprint reader crashes. I have read the blogs/postings but I have a couple of questions before I begin.

Vista came installed and I received a "Anytime Upgrade" disc. Is this a full Vista disc to install from?

I made the recovery CD/DVD. Should I use this to install instead (using the SBA)? If I totally hose the system, will this put it back as delivered? Doesnt seem like it has room for all the stuff that came originally. I got a version of Office (and have the disc for that), so I assume Office isn't on the R&R disc.

Any other recommendations before I pass the "Point of no return"?
