May 31st release date for X61 / X61s / X61 Tablet

I'm gearing up to order an X61 Tablet as soon as possible. From the release of the T61 and past releases, does anyone recall the approximate time the first orders can be placed on release day? Is the Canadian web site updated at the same time as the US site?
I'm hoping the prices on the Canadian Lenovo site will be reasonable compared with the US site. With the CDN$ at record levels (92.6 US$) there isn't a lot of excuse for higher prices IMO.

I'm also ready to place an order when they launch it. I would think that they would change over the sites in the middle of the night, otherwise it screws up people who are on it and trying to order, etc.
So, it could happen in the wee hours of the 30th, but that's if they really do launch it on the 31st. Some have said that they won't be available for shipping until August, so if that's true too there could be some lengthy lead times for the delivery schedule. They are also notorious for not keeping schedules.
Or they could announce it on the 31st and not allow orders until later????
Who knows how each country's pages get launched. It could be well coordinated, or teams responsible for each country could enforce differences based on their own issues. I know that Romania had some kind of specs on these on one of their web pages weeks ago, but it got removed since then.

I'm having my doubts that the X61 Tablet will even be released at the same time as the X61 / X61s. If you search the Lenovo support documents there's lots of stuff on the latter two machines - repair manuals, specs etc. But there's nothing on the tablet.

I wouldn't be surprised if you were right on this one. They really seem to leave the tablet as the lonely, lower level importance sister when it comes to a bunch of aspects, timing included. But it's one of their most expensive machines and you'd think that they'd want to keep it on top with processing power, availability of models, shipping commitments and the like.
Where have you seen the non-tablet x61 documents?

There have been lots of pre-release X61 documents found -- just browse the recent X61 threads in this (X60) forum and you will probably find five or six.

It's already the 31st in Japan. : )
Some translations ...
Overview page
X61 specifications
X61s specifications
Worth noting:
- No WWAN cards listed -- probably because of Japanese requirements
- No turbo memory option listed
- No 7200 rpm disks available
Edit: Sorry, Google translation links don't appear to be working ... you may need to paste the URLs into translate.google.com yourself.

What it actually says is "SD I/O 1.0" -- nothing about the SD or SDHC spec, only SDIO.

hello guys,
here's the link for the x61 hmm
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-62866
pls note that page 79 indicates a second fan!!! i guess they have learned a lesson from the x60 palmrest heat problem. however, it's only for the wwan models.
i guess you can alway order the second fan separately and install it yourself...
edit : this was discussed before... sorry for the double post.
