In the box, Vista Business includes only the 32-bit DVD. So a purchaser has to go online to order the 32-bit CD-ROM or the 64-bit DVD for a "minimal fee" (whatever that is).

In the box, Vista Ultimate includes both the 32-bit and the 64-bit DVDs.

From http://www.microsoft.com/mediacenter :

Bring your entire digital entertainment library to life with Windows Media Center in Windows Vista. With Windows Vista Home Premium or Windows Vista Ultimate, you can enjoy your photos in a cinematic slide show, browse your music collection by cover art, easily play DVDs, watch and record TV shows, download movies, and project your home videos on your PC monitor or your TV.

It's useful if you use your Laptop to watch TV with a remore control in your hand.

Ultimate has other benefits, though: From time to time one gets "Ultimate Extras" for download. Two of those have been useful for me so far: A widget to configure the Bitlocker Drive Encryption, and additional languages for Windows.

Regards, Martin

Vista Ultimate's MCE worked terribly with x60t (see seperate thread). x61t with the newer chipset and x3100 may work better.
