How to take advantage of the US/UK exchange rates?

Hi, I've just seen the x61s prices on the Lenovo site, $1200 for a basic model, this will probably be £1200 in the UK, basically double the price.

Do Lenovo US ship internationally?

I am going down that road too as I am living in Denmark ... It almost pays the return ticket and a long weekend in NY :)

Nope.

Go to Marketplace of this forum and request Bill (the host of this forum). He ships internationally.

This is so sad. Just a few years ago, I was taking advantage of the strong US dollar by ordering lots of stuff from Canadian and European online stores.

Not necessarily, with a weak dollar our products & services become more attractive to foreigners. Unfortunately, we do not export enough... like China. Hopefully, that attracts enough tourists.

Unfortunately for me I travel back to Europe once or twice a year for long periods of time. It gets expensive.

People tend to be kind of queasy about visiting a place where a government is free to arrest them for unspecified charges and keep locked up for years without trial...

Wow! First off, let me just say that I intended to say attract more tourist to the US. However, I'm not in favor of how the chinese government does business, but don't mind them getting more tourists. With that said, I must side with gongo and suggest you do some research before making such comments.

They know what they did. :D
You had better STFU before we bomb your [censored].

Seriously though, we don't believe our propaganda and you shouldn't believe yours either. Most people here don't agree with how the gov is run but we aren't in any fear of being arrested for no reason. The gov really isn't that organized. You can bet if an out of towner gets detained there is a good reason.
