I was quite excited to get my X60 tablet today, I got it all updated and so forth and now when I turn it on, it's not reading the hard drive I don't think. The power light is on, but the hard drive light comes on for a second at start, then never returns.
Any ideas?

It could be as simple a fix a reinstating the MBR (Master Boot Record). If you have a floppy drive, then you may try the following utility:

You should call whoever you got it from and tell them the HD might be toast. If it's lenovo they should overnight one. Does the bios post? Or is the screen just black.

The screen is just blank... I would think the problem was the LCd, however, considering it's not even trying to boot (or at least not reading from the hard drive)...
I don't know if this makes a difference, but the last thing I did on the computer was previewing different default screen savers. I pulled up the windows energy screen saver and it came up(preview), and then I couldn't get it to wake up.
I don't have a floppy drive- if I put it on a CD would it work?
I guess I could go get a floppy drive.
Thanks.

Perhaps pressing the power button for a couple of seconds while the x60 is on can solve the problem. Or try to remove the battery and power supply for a few seconds.
Are you shure, the harddrive sits properly in its socket? A not firmly connected harddrive could be a reason for the blank boot-screen.
