Interesting X61 tablet features (new from X60)

There are more interesting things about the new X61 tablet, besides it being internally labeled a X60, it is definitely enhanced over its predecessor.

Battery Stretch: The ability to eek out extra time by basically turning off devices on the system that you are not using.

"...enabling Lenovo’s new Battery Stretch control, users can gain up to 15 percent longer battery life to finish a presentation or current work by simply selecting functions to temporarily disable in the Power Manager ThinkVantage software."

Also: "Lenovo extends the workday with ultra long battery life.... [the] X61 Tablet run[s] approximately up to ... 10 hours."

This I've got to see to believe, but if the footnote reference that goes to a document that last tested the X41 tablet is too believed, this would be with medium brightness, HDD spin down set at 3 minutes, and no standby or monitor off. You're mileage will vary and will probably be less.

Centrino Pro: Okay, it's probably nothing except to huge enterprise users, but looking at my equipment manifest, the is a CEPRO tag in my assembly instructions:

That was great additional information.
I was trying to find more info on the battery stretch and you seemed to have summed it up nicely. Let us know if you actually get the '10hrs' of battery life; because for me battery life is critical and it would be great to know that the claim was true.

your screen says SXGA+.. is that correct because the site says only SXGA

how is it that onenote is not offered for the 61t?

The sales rep was wondering about that, too. I think that with all the releases happening so quickly that the web developer is missing stuff. That, or they simply don't have enough licenses! Pure speculation, tho.

The 10h battery-life are for the 8cell + extended life battery.

In reality that would be 6h, with just the 8cell 4h.
