Hello,
I wonder if anyone knows the procedure to unlock a X60 Tablet with XP pre-loaded with Cingular WAN (with the sierra MC8765).
I am in Europe for the summer and when I tried to put the SIM card for a local provider I get the information that the SIM is not authorized...
I found out the procedure for the SONY Vaio (http://www.engadget.com/2005/10/20/how- ... -vgn-t350/) but I am not sure it if it applies to the X60 as well
I appreciate any help on this.

Unlock Cingular Enabled X60 Tablet
The procedure should be the same I believe. The trick is getting the NCQU number from Cingular or Lenovo. Without that number, I do not believe anything can be done. The only other option would be to get an unlocked PC card from ebay or another source. IMO, A Sierra Wireless 860 Aircard would be a good choice.
