scrolling with bio metric reader

Is any one using there biometric finger print reader as a scroll device?

Maybe its just my imagination, iv googled and cant find anything, however I am almost certain that I have seen this before. Oh well

No its not my imagination several companies do this. Whom is the OEM for the thinkpad x60 biometric finger print reader.

Why would you use the finger reader for scrolling? Just use the scroll button which is the center button just below the keyboard.

For those of us with Tablets, that center button isn't accessible in Tablet-mode. The fingerprint reader is, though.

I know you can do it one some Fujitsu notebooks like the P7230.

just posting to say this would be a fabulous idea

right now with the smaller screen I have to scroll quite a bit, on my old notebook I could use the horizontal and vertical edges to scroll, but as many of you know the only way to scroll on a thinkpad is by holding down the middle button. (I searched for horizontal scrolling and found this thread)
