Hi, i nearly got an x60 until i read that the x61 was out and then i saw that the x61s was out.

I currently have an x41 but its a little slow. Can you guys please tell me which is the most powerful x61s, where i can get it and the specs? i was hoping for 2GB ram, dont mind about hard drive or anything else- but preferably still weight as my x41.

Well, most powerful in what, CPU performance or versatileness etc.?

From the CPU performance point of view, the normal X61 is actually, without doubt, the most powerful one of the whole X-series.

From the versatility factor the X61T (tablet pc) is sure the most powerful, in case you like also to make use of the tablet mode.

From the overall less weight and the size factor, the X61s with an UltraLight TFT panel is instead the most powerful.

whats the difference in weight and cpu performance tradeoff between the x60 and x61s? ie for how much less performance is the x61s lighter/how much more powerful for more weight is the x60?

Search through the forum here (it has been often posted previously) or look into the specs of both X-series models in order to get an idea of the weight differences between the two. As for example here...

Then search over the internet via google etc. for some Intel mobile CPU comparison charts, in order to get an idea how the CPU performance differs (in theory) between the two models with different CPUs you selected. For example...

According to the lenovo website the X61s has a T7500 2.2GHz processor??? I thought it was meant to have a 1.6GHz L7500??

I believe they mixed-up on the Lenovo webpage the datas of the T61/X61 and X61s notebooks.

The X61s uses low-voltage Core2Duo CPUs and here the max you can get is AFAIK actually a 1.6GHz L7500 CPU. Thus the shown 2.2 GHz value isn't correct for the X61s.
