Sent my X60 to IBM service center 10 days ago for a Bluetooth that disappeared and a chipped corner on the case. The Bluetooth decided to disappear and the system does not even see the hardware anymore (BIOS enabled; Fn+F5 does not show BT anymore; device manager does not list BT anymore). IBM phone support said that there is certainly a hardware issue. Sent to depot and they had to call me 2 times since they could not replicate the problem. Since I needed the machine I had to have it sent back to me without any fixes (they couldn't find the chipped case either); they only thing they managed to do was put a lot of fingerprints on the LCD.
So, phone support offered to send me a BT since they thing it might be a loose connection/bad BT hardware.
Is that possible to do myself?
I have installed 2x 1GB RAM and replaced my wireless card, so I know which way a screwdriver should turn.
Can I fix Bluetooth myself?
See Page 97 of the Hardware Maintenance Manual (HMM):

The Bluetooth card is attached to the LCD cable and is accessible by lifting one inch (flexing up) the bottom left corner of the LCD panel bezel. One does not need to disassemble the machine in the manner and to the extent indicated in the HMM. You will need a right-angle Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw which holds the card. Just take an inexpensive small screwdriver, clamp the tip 1/4-inch in a vice, and bend/hammer the shaft 90 degrees.
