Is there a tutorial on how to install an atheros n card?

X60/X61 series specific matters only.

Is there a tutorial on how to install an atheros n card?

#1 Post by kimo » Thu Jun 28, 2007 8:15 am

I own a thinkpad x60 which has the atheros g card installed. However, I purchased the atheros n card thinking that my x60 would have the 3rd antenna already installed. Sadly, this is not the case so I'm looking for a tutorial on how to install the 3rd antenna to get my n card up and running.

Is there such a tutorial available?

ok, forget the tutorial. i now have another question. i just installed the atheros n card and i noticed that the two antennaes that were originally there are located on each side of the lcd bezel. so for the third antenna, it is currently taped underneath the lefthand palm rest.

Does anyone know if this will be hazardous to my laptop?

I'm currently connected to my router at 300Mpbs, but how would I be able to test if I actually have "N" speed?
