When trying to use X61 tablet in the sleeve it would be easier if the buttons were centered. Also the "X" cancel in the upper right hand corner is obscured by the stitching on the fingerprint reader cutout. Anyone else have these problems? Did I get a sleeve that was a tad small?

Well I got the case. The vinyl stunk really bad so I've had it outside for the past three days airing out and it still stinks.

I also received a stylus and played with it, I like it even though I may have three more weeks of wait time to use it as intended...

Yes, I can verify that the fit isn't so good for the X61 tablet sleeve, nor is the finish. Mine arrived scratched. The replacement after RMA also arrived scratched. I had planned to return it, but haven't. It occurred to me that my biggest worry was getting the tablet in the sleeve without smudging/scratching the vinyl and without scratching the screen. Thinking about it, and the total-lack of usability with the vinyl, I realize that what I really need to do is cut out the vinyl, perhaps using it as a flip out of the way cover. Okay, this voids the warranty, but it would allow me to move it into the sleeve by sticking my hand in through the zipper and through the screen area, and the sleeve would still hold the tablet in place. It's intended for helping you hold and transport the unit semi-protected, so I think it would work.

Still, if I find a better non-OEM solution, I'll probably go for it. Two thumbs down in general.

The screen protector is just velcro'd in.

Right, I don't think you need to cut it. Half the problem is in the location of the screen protector and it can be removed via velcro.
The other half of the problem is the difficult access, and it seems like they were simply saving zipper length with that.

Omigod! Thank you for pointing that out. It is something that is not mentioned in the description of the product or the sorry multi-language disclaimer of a manual that comes with it (well at least as much of it as I read )

It fits perfectly with the X61T I have been using it, best part is you can use the computer in the case at all times and never have to remove it.

Thanks for the info - I see they updated to indicate they support the X61 tablet. Kind of pricey, but if it works well...

Does it keep the system cool? At the zippers metal (that is, will it interfere with the WWAN antenna on the top of the LCD? It looks like it doesn't have a vinyl protector... not that I would use it, but just wondering.

I take it you like it? On a scale of 1 to 10...?

It does kinda look like it lacks the vinyl protector. Could that be so? The vinyl on the stock Lenovo protective case doesn't seem to hurt the screen visibility and it is also invisible to the pen. If the darn thing fit right I'd be well satisfied with it. Well, it needs some sort of carrying handle, but neither IBM nor Lenovo has ever twigged to the fact that people might actually carry them their portables around....

Not that they are alone in failing to provide handles. Many other manufacturers don't either.

It does not have the vinyl screen protector, I have the tablet sleeve for my X41T and I despise it with a passion. They only major drawback is that the ports are exposed and there is no way to cover them. I have not noticed any abnormal heat with the computer in this case. The zipper fits around the WWAN antenna pretty easily.
