4-cell vs. 8-cell on the X60 Tablet - WOW, what a difference

So i originally purchased my X60 with only the 8-cell battery as the price difference between the two was negligible.

As much as I liked the 8-cell (usually got 4-5 hours of battery life with decent settings) it was heavy and was uncomfortable to hold for any length of time in the tablet position.

Fast forward to this weekend, I came across a new 4-cell x60 tablet battery on eBay (genuine, pull from a brand new system). Bid and won for $65.

It arrived today and WOW, this is the ticket. As much as I would love to have the extra battery power, the fact of the matter remains that its rare I'm away from a power cord more than an hour or two. Its now the perfect weight and easier to carry IMO. I didn't think the change would be drastic, but for me, it was.

Just a heads up to those deciding between the batteries, this has probably been discussed ad-nauseum here. If you dont need a ton of battery life, go for the 4-cell, you won't regret it.

0.5 lbs is a very noticeable difference, especially after carrying the laptop for a long time (say >30 minutes).

When I still had my X60s with 8 cell, I found the extra bulk (not weight) really hurts portability. With 4 cell X60s can still sail for 4 hours. Neither is better but a matter of personal preference.

I really think it would be nice to have both. I fly a more than average (less than average business types), and it's nice to have the 8 cell for that. The rest of the time I am either using the power cord, or only away from it for an hour or so at a time. Those are the times when the weight really matters, since I'm walking around a room with the tablet in hand.
