any tests on the Intel 4965AGN of X61s?

For those who already get their brand new x61s', please comment on the network capability of the Intel 4965AGN (range, signal strength, compatibility, etc,). I have heard at least three reports on lower signal strength and less coverage of the 4965AGN's as compared with the ThinkPad 11a/b/g or ThinkPad 11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi wireless LAN Mini-PCIe's.
Thanks,

I haven't had any problems with it.

Is yours a X61s or a R-series?

Doesn't matter much, does it? It's the same card.

It does make difference. The same cards works far better in R-series than in X61s, according to the laptop review.

Then there you have it! It works well but not a well!

That shows that the Intel 4965N card is cooler than the other cards (including atheros) and by more than 10 degrees F or more. I noted in another thread that an X61s user who has the 4965N noted that his palmrest gets warm, but not overbearingly so.
I have also heard that the 4965N's Draft-N performance is less than stellar (but only the N performance, nothing about the B/G was mentioned).
So it's a grab bag. No one has their X61 yet it seems - or they won't comment on the forums about it. God knows I've been asking for 2 weeks about fan RPMs.

I don't have mine yet ... but some others do, although no specific fan RPM answers so far.

I have one and it works well enough for me. Always get connected immediately after waking up from sleep. Just upgraded my router from "a" to "n" and get all but one bar at the farthest part of my house. Recognized 144mbps. What I am trying to figure out though is there seems to be an ever so slight lag between when I launch a web page compared to a wired connection.
After you uninstall access connections, it should work great for you.
I Have an x61t.
Hope that helps.
