Creating Recovery disks .."dvd ram not supported"

#1 Post by psteven » Mon Jul 23, 2007 8:30 am

Guys ,
Bought a used x60s and an x6 ultradock , it came with a cd/dvdr ultrabay . I had an extra multidvd ultrabay which i used insted , the issue now is I was trying to make recovery disks , thinking it would allow me to use dvds to create them . I managed to make the start up disk using a cdr and continued on to use a dvd-rw disk on the second disk but it wont continue . i see a note indicating dvd-ram is not supported . Is thre anyway around this . TIA.

Your problem is something else. DVD-ram is not supported for disk 1 only.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
