I recently swapped my 500MB RAM for 2x 1GB from Crucial. I also did a factory restore prior to doing this.
I have gotten the following error message in Adobe, Mozilla, and a few other apps, but I have not been able to replicate it.
What does it mean?
"The instruction @ "0x01d123e4" referenced memory @ "0x01d33d38." The memory could not be "read." Click okay to terminate the program"
Is the RAM faulty? I did run PC Doctor a few times after I installed it and the results were that everything was running fine, including the RAM.
What does this error message mean?
It is not likely faulty ram (although one cannot say that with certainty).
I have seen that very occasionally with Symantec Client Security 3.1.5. I have approached Symantec with my Corporate agreement and they have not been able to solve the problem thus far (although I have not checked in a couple of months). Symantec said Video initially, but when I proved that not to be the case, they took down their knowledge base article on the subject.
I have not seen it ever with Adobe, and I don't run Mozilla.
I am no farther ahead after my work, except if I shut down the appropriate Symantec (rtvscan) service first, I never get the error.
