ThinkVantage software - which do I need? CSS performance?

#1 Post by jamess » Tue Jul 24, 2007 5:58 am

My X61 Tablet, as I learned today, will arrive already on 10th August.

Because I am travelling soon after I get it, i need to have the setup done asap.

I am wondering, which ThinkVantage software is to be kept during the custom factory restore.

I am mainly concerned with the CSS. I've had CSS 7 enabled and boot up and fingerprint responsivenes was painfully slow. I un.installed it, because it was simply too slow. Has this improved in version of CSS 8 and does it run ok on your system?

Is there still an issue with the ThinkVantage Power Manager and Vista battery control or have the new updates and drivers solved the problem.

Thank you for your replies

I don't know about the X61T, but I haven't had any issues with Power Manager in Vista the few weeks I had it on my R60.

I usually dump most of the the ThinkVantage tools. I only keep EasyEject, Power Manager, Hard Drive Protection and UltraNav myself. I don't have a need for the rest.
