Access the pre-installed backup after installing another OS?

#1 Post by airmanz » Wed Jul 25, 2007 3:25 pm

Don't know if it has been discussed yet.

I got a x60 with vista. Then I installed xp pro on D drive so now there are two os co-existing on my laptop.

The question is, it seems that I cannot access the pre-installed hidden recovery drive anymore. There is simply no such choice when I press the blue button at starting up.

How can I access the hidden drive if I want to re-install vista sometime?

Thanks!

If you look at your drive in XP's disk management utility do you see the recovery partition? It will be called something like 'servicev0001'.
