X60t pressure sensitivity and compatibility problems

EDIT: I am ridiculous. I was so sure that I got the driver, that I never tried to get it again. That was the problem. Sorry guys :(

I got this wonderful x60t not 2 months ago, and I have loved it since, but I have had some serious problems getting the pressure sensitivity to work with certain programs, namely GIMP, and Corel Painter.

It seems like the problem is the same between the two programs, as they both list compatibility with Wacom products, and while looking through support groups I've found they work for other tablet PCs. I just cannot figure out what it is! I've never really been that in-touch with my operating system though, and just having switched to Vista, I'm pretty much clueless as to where I should look.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I hope this is not too far off-topic... Do I need any additional software such as plug-ins for Adobe photoshop (and other CS3 programs) to recognize my tablet features on soon-arriving X61T?

Honestly, I have no idea. I would think that with a product as expensive as photoshop, they would work with your computer, but you may have the same problem as me.

you have to install the wacom tablet driver
http://www.wacom.com/tabletpc/driver.cfm
personally i don't like it because it interferes with some of vista's native tablet features

I've already done that. The pressure sensitivity works with Paint.net, but no other image editing program I try.

Do you know if there is an earlier driver I can revert to that still works with vista, that maybe these programs do work with?

It's frustrating to purchase a tablet with hopes of using it for art, just to have none of the programs be compatible with the pressure sensitivity!
