Help! My tablet cursor has left for Mexico!

#1 Post by Kurow » Tue Jul 31, 2007 12:23 pm

Or somewhere else, as I can't seem to find it. I got Wacom's driver for my X60t yesterday, and ever since I haven't seen the tablet cursor. When ever I use my pen, it just uses the mouse cursor. This wouldn't bother me that much, except it causes a whole plethora of other problems. Most importantly, the tablet functionality with programs such as GIMP and Paint.net has completely disappeared! This makes little sense to me, because I drew a celebratory picture in GIMP last night after I downloaded the driver and installed it, and it worked perfectly. Suddenly now while using the pen I cannot even click inside the canvas.

Suggestions? Thanks!

is your X60t a multitouch or touchpanel like mine? The design of these has a layer of 'glass' panel on it and the rectangular frame holds the screen. Sometime one side of the frame press on the screen too much and caused the cursor to zip right over to that side (AND off the screen).

At first I thought it's my faulty multitouch or my calibration is off. Being a mechancial engineer, I solve the problem by just tapping all around the rectangular frame lightly and 'loosen' up the tight spot. The screen now seat nicely. After calibration, the cursor is back to normal.

If you do NOT have the touch panel version, THEN your driver has failed. There is supposed to be 3 drivers, two from wacom and one from XP. there is no known way to solve this (as far as I know), except to reinstall from factory and hopefully the drivers got installed correctly.
Do what is important, not what is urgent
