Using the lowest cpu settings in the power manager to extend battery life, using rmclock my cpu never drops below 1ghz (997mhz to be exact) in vista.

Shouldn't it be able to throttle down lower?

My X61 (2 GHz C2D) throttle value drops down to ~800 MHz depending on utilization and profile.

What profiles are you using in RMClock?
X220 (4287-2W5, Windows 8 Pro) / X31 (2672-CXU, XP Pro) / X61s (7668-CTO, Windows 8 Pro)

My X61s with the 1.6Ghz LV C2D also drops down to 800 Mhz when idling.
