Got 27 X61ts in today. 26 of them are in that shot. (Only one's unpacked, though.)
Sorry, just had to post that.

Is this all for work or something?

Yes, my company is migrating to mostly X61ts, with a few T61s for the people that don't want a 12.1" screen.

Just curious, but when did you place that order and which screen do they have?

That is always an exciting time for me getting in new equipment. I recently got in some R52's and refurbed T42's and it's fun checking them out. BUT-then I realize I have to set each of them up individually, and the excitement quickly turns into boredom!
Will you have to be setting all of these up for everyone, or is that their responsibility?

Hah, didn't catch that was my 1000 post.
Anyway, I believe we placed the order on 2007-07-24. They shipped out on the 31st.
Config is 7764-CTO, MV/MT XGA, UltraBase X6t with DVD burner, ThinkPad WiFi, no BT, no WWAN. Hard drives are 60 GB (16 units,) 120 GB (10 units,) and 160 GB (one unit,) all 5400 RPM.
Mine doesn't ship until 2007-08-27, according to Lenovo.

Mine's the same, except SXGA+ and 120 GB.
I get to set up one 60 GB and one 120 GB (I don't use a smart imager,) and then I can reimage the others. Much easier that way.
As for the feather, my guess is 4 posts ago.

Wow, what a collection

Cool. It's interesting that you're all (almost) migrating to 12" screens however, the majority of people I know think of 12" displays as close-to-useless. They're so wrong!

We're actually migrating from 15" XGA screens, with a few 14.1"s mixed in.
However, almost everyone I showed the SXGA+ demo unit to loved it, and when I put it into XGA res and said it won't be fuzzy, they said that'd be fine. (Except for, of course, a few holdouts that wanted bigger screens, so I've got a 15.4" WXGA T61 in my lap right now, setting it up, and there's a few 14.1" WXGA T61s on the way.)

Please keep us posted on your impressions!

I'm looking forward to reading about the performance and build quality of these X61ts, especially such a large batch of units like the one you guys received.
