no-1802 hack for x60s with Gigabyte GN-WI01GT

hi,

i own a x60s (170255G) and want to insert a Gigabyte GN-WI01GT Wlan-Card.
i tried but it gives, not that it was unexpected, an 1802-error.

has anyone tried the 1802 hack on that model and with that wlan-card?
did it work?

ps: is it really true that this hack does not harm guarantee? read that somewhere...

The no-1802 hack does not work for X60 series thinkpads.
